Welcome to Artesanos
Artesanos is a local Costa Rican premium cigar brand. We grow our tobacco in Guanacaste, where we also carefully cure it. Following the curing process, our skilled cigar rollers handcraft our high-quality puros. We sell our prestigious cigars in Playas del Coco, at Solo Bueno. The same shop where Cata Chocolate also makes tree to bar artisan chocolate.
In the field
Our tobacco is grown in Costa Rica, in the prairies of Guanacaste. Sun and water are essential for the growth of the plants. Our plants are sun grown and the variety we use is Habano.
Curing
Curing the tobacco is an art performed by our experts, Abel Ochoa and Jose Angel Zelaya, who bring their expertise from Cuba and Nicaragua. It takes a rough 7 monhs from growing, drying and curing the tobacco. We start in November and finish in June.
Hand rolled
Our cigars are the real deal – top-notch quality made with care by hand. We're all about using whole leaf tobacco, rolled with precision to ensure every puff is pure enjoyment.
Our shop
We sell our cigars in Playas del Coco, in an artisan crafts shop called ''Solo Bueno''. Apart from our cigars, this shop is also home to tree to bar chocolate maker Cata Chocolate. We have a humidor in the shop were we offer multiple sizes, Robustos, Toros, Gordos, Pyramides and much more. We also offer a small selection of authentic Cuban cigars. You can find us on Google Maps as well. The shop is located on the main boulevard, 50 meters from the ocean on the second floor.
Events
Artesanos regularly participates in events, where guests can sample our products and learn from our master roller how to roll a cigar themselves.
